Church history is
often overlooked by many
Christians,
and there is little curriculum
for effectively teaching
children about their Christian
heritage. However, to learn the
fascinating story of the
Christian faith is an essential
part of understanding the
teaching, traditions and the
foundation of the Church as we
know it today. Why did the
Council of Nicea convene in 323?
Why did Martin Luther nail his
95 theses to the Wittenberg
Cathedral Door in 1517? These
and so many other historical
people and events are
instrumental to young scholar's
understanding of the Christian
faith.
Our
Church History Sheets creatively
guide students
in discovering the background of
their faith. Many pages include
an exclusive illustration of a
historical person or event.
Comes with over 240 sheets,
which include biographical and
event sheets, charts and maps to
help students discover the
exciting and amazing events that
have shaped the church. Children
will strengthen their research
skills as they explore
information (from their home
library, church library or the
internet) about each person or
event, and as they unfold the
story of the Christian faith.
There are also several first
draft work sheets
to guide children in developing
and improving their writing
skills. A vocabulary list is
also included to encourage
children to expand and diversify
their vocabulary when writing.
Once
completed,
children will have a
comprehensive grasp of the church's history that will serve and inspire them for the rest of their lives. |
